25 Aug Irregardless Cafe in Raleigh Wins 2015 OpenTable Award
Irregardless Cafe & Catering is pleased to announce that it has been named one of America’s 52 Best Restaurants for Vegetarians by OpenTable Diners. See OpenTable’s Press Release. Determined by more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners over the last year, the Vegetarian honorees each bested more than 20,000 restaurants. Other winners include Candle 79 in New York City and Moosewood in Ithaca, NY.
Owner and founding Chef Arthur Gordon says “We are honored and pleased that our 40 year approach and unique interpretations have been recognized by vegetarians on OpenTable.” He continued “Irregardless is a place where the ‘lion and the lamb’ can eat together.”
Irregardless’ menu has been an evolution that has followed Chef Gordon’s dietary and spiritual path. The Cafe started out as a vegetarian & vegan restaurant in 1975, and then added a new protein about every seven years – first fish and seafood, then poultry and duck and finally beef and lamb. Today, Irregardless is a ‘plant based’ restaurant – or a ‘Farm to Table’ restaurant – featuring delicious sides with proteins and truly innovative vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals. Gordon hopes “that with the ‘lion and the lamb’ dining together, world peace could break out at any time.”
Irregardless Cafe & Catering’s entire staff thanks all diners who have helped earn this amazing accolade for Raleigh, North Carolina and the greater US. Now that this award announcement has been made, be sure to reserve your table at the Irregardless in advance. Your vegetarian adventure is waiting!
